Way back in 1988, Manuel L. Espiritu and his niece, Editha Morelos-Faustino, started cooking up delicious meals in their garage in Malabon. They never imagined their small idea would grow into the big “Amber Golden Chain of Restaurants”. How did they do it? AMBER’s name is inspired by a yellow or golden-colored sap of a tree usually considered to be lucky. It seems that the name Amber turned out to be lucky for this food chain with a humble beginning as a simple eatery in the garage of a house in Malabon and had only 4 employees at that time.

After 4 years of starting the restaurant in 1992, they also started food delivery through motorcycles.
